Whoever came to her gate, she would not let them in until the guest drank a glass of special nectar. Leira prepared it herself: juice and crushed pulp of ripe mangoes, iris nectar, and a pinch of tart vanilla.

This drink was so juicy, sweet, and saturated with summer that guests forgot about all their troubles, the resentment accumulated during the day, irritation, and anger towards their enemies. Because of this, Leira sometimes even brought hostile camps together at one table. She knew that after her nectar, guests could relax and talk amicably. She knew how to disarm people and used this without hesitation or remorse.
